Lightning does strike twice!

At the beginning of the animation, lightning strikes outside the house to create a spooky atmosphere. I was assigned to create the lightning affect using my original house scene. As lightning hits the sky, the surrounding objects are illuminated by its presence. This forms a realistic lighting affect for the lightning bolt. This animation was made in Flipbook:

Adding Wardrobe doors

The perspective was hard to achieve on the doors but I think I got it right:

Without Cape:

With Cape:

Filling the wardrobe

2 keyframes are required to go along with the wardrobe scene. One with its doors open and the cape inside and one with the doors open but the cape removed. Now that I had drawn the cape in a previous scene I was familiar with its shape. I design this wardrobe taking inspiration from my own, shelves on the left and the right used for hanging larger clothes:

I have yet to add the doors but as they are interactive in the animation they may not be required to be drawn in the background

Scene without cape

Scene with cape

Taking out the trash! (And making it better?)

Its a small alteration but nevertheless my own. My job was to draw the bin used at the end of the animation in the same style as the scenery I have been drawing so far:

The original (drawn by team leader)

My refined version:

Refining the cape scene

I refined this scene using my same technique as normal; a rough sketch of the final thing and then I use brush size 3 on 75% opacity:

And then the shading, using the same guide:

Cape Scene

There is a scene/angle of camera in the bedroom that focuses on the bed when the character has taken the cape out of the wardrobe and placed it on the bed. This required mostly my own construction taking inspiration from the leader's original frame:

I drew the whole bed small first, even though most of it wouldn't be in the final shot...

I then resized the bed up to the correct size for the shot and refined the lines...

I then added the cape, which my need resizing. I also added a fraction of the window in the corner.
